Support

Every way to get help
with LinuxAid.

LinuxAid is AGPL-3.0, and the community channels below are open to everyone. Enterprise support is the last stop, not the first.

  1. Documentation

    Start here

Role reference, how to lay out your hiera data, what each of the 85 server roles installs, and how the 30-minute convergence run works. Most questions are answered here before you need to ask anyone.

  2. Bug reports

    GitHub Issues

Something broken? Open an issue with your LinuxAid version, the distribution and release, and the role that misbehaved. Maintainers triage in the open, so you can follow the fix.

  3. Questions and ideas

    GitHub Discussions

Not sure it is a bug? Ask in Discussions. Help writing a role, hiera layout questions and proposals for new roles all belong here, and the answers stay searchable for the next person.

  4. Chat

    Vox Pupuli Slack

Talk to maintainers and other Linux operators in real time.

You need a Vox Pupuli Slack account first

Our channel lives in the Vox Pupuli workspace — the community behind OpenVox, the configuration system LinuxAid is built on — so the channel link only opens for people who are already members. Joining is free, and the invite comes back straight away.

  5. Enterprise support

    Obmondo · paid

Want someone on call for your fleet? Obmondo runs LinuxAid in production for customers — monitoring, alerts, patching, backups and audit evidence — with response times from one business day down to one hour around the clock. The community channels above stay free; this is for teams that need a contract behind them.
